Our Board Members

RDA SA Board members 2007-2008

The RDA SA Board of Management comprises between five and nine people - all volunteers. Board members are elected for a two-year term, with half retiring annually.

Current Board members are:

President:  Jill Ribbons - works for Bedford Industries as an IT consultant. Joined the RDA SA Board in 2000, president since 2003.

Vice President: Melisa Kaharevic - solicitor with Michael Hegarty and Assoc. Joined RDA SA Board in March 2007; appointed vice president in November 2007.

Executive member:  Julie Burnes - retired administrator.  Joined the Board in 2005. Appointed Executive member November 2007.

Other Board members:  Dr Carol Bradley - HR consultant, and vigneron and award-winning winemaker.  Joined RDA SA Board in 1994. Vice president 1995 - 1997.

Dennis Hall - Technical Manager for United Water. Joined RDA SA Board in 1997 as a parent-advocate. President 2000-2003.

John McDiarmid - Consultant with SuperSA.  Interest in organisational management. Joined RDA SA Board in March 2007.

Board Treasurer - requires services of a qualified accountant or similar.

Sub-Committees

RDA SA has three sub-committees chaired by Board members. Volunteers interested in assisting with any of these always welcome to join.

Coaching and Safety - chaired by Jill Ribbons.  Meets monthly. Focus on program delivery and coaching matters.

Dressage - chaired by Jill Ribbons.  Meets monthly. Focus on event preparation and competitor support.

Promotion and Fundraising - chaired by John McDiarmid.  Meets monthly.  Supporting the organisation through promotional events and activities.
