Grace Bowman (above) has been selected to represent Australia in the Paralympic Games (Equestrian) in 2008.
RDA SA operates with a five-year Strategic Plan.
Our current plan 2003 - 2008 is nearing the end of its cycle, so a renewed Plan is currently being developed in consultation with RDAA, the Board, Centres and stakeholders.
New centres are being supported in the Barossa/Light and Port Pirie regions. These cannot operate until they have an accredited NCAS RDA Level 1 coach, and until they have established minimum acceptable facilities at their grounds.
Riders and their families are looking forward to when they receive the word to "mount up"!
A new mobile service taking horses to riders is being established using a generous grant from Newman's Own Foundation. This grant was allocated to purchase a horse truck, horses and equipment.
A permanent base for the unit is being sought, possibly in the West Beach area (near Adelaide airport).
Volunteers to assist with the Smiley Mobile Unit are encouraged to register their interest with RDA SA state office.
