State Manager
Kay Milton
BA Hons (politics, Flinders University), Dip. Ed. (Adelaide University), Cert III IT, MFIA; JP since 1990.
Kay joined RDA SA as full-time state manager in 2002 after more than 20 years working for state and federal politicians.
She is a lifelong horse-owner, breeder and competitor, particularly with Arabian horses in endurance riding. Other interests: reading, gardening, genealogy and acting/singing in amateur comedy theatre.
In December 2008 Kay and her husband Mark Boon were jointly named Citizen of the Year by Mallala Council.
Coaching Co-ordinator
Karen Aspery
Karen has worked for RDA since mid-2005 and works part-time (0.4) as Coaching Co-ordinator.
She is responsible for ensuring coaches are properly trained to meet NCAS and RDA standards, and develops and delivers excellent training programs.She is a horse-owner and competitor, and has a passion for dressage.
Karen has an Advanced Diploma in Management, Certificate IV Assessment and Workplace Training as well as Certificate IV in Contract Management (Risk Management).
She also works part-time for RDA Australia as National Executive Officer.
Finance Manager
Ella Kos
Ella has been with RDA SA since September 2003, managing our finances including banking, payroll, accounts.
As part of her duties she liaises with centre treasurers to ensure each centre receives its rightful payments, and trains treasurers in the intricacies of MYOB.
She also co-ordinates the doorknock collections program which provides much-needed income assistance. Ella works full-time.
Ella loves animals and has a German Shepherd dog called Rex.
Administration Officer
Rosalee Cearns
Rose joined RDA SA staff full-time in June 2006.
She is our "front line" staff member covering reception, phone, mail, rider registrations, donations...
She is responsible for our regular Government reporting, all the while staying cheerful and friendly and welcoming to everyone.
Rose, who loves her family and enjoys listening to live music, is our office bubble.
Administration Assistant
Theresa Moore
Theresa joined the RDA State Office team in October 2006, and works part time (0.6).
Her primary role involves managing volunteer registrations and overseeing our National Police Check processes, making sure all volunteers are screened.
Theresa also assists in a multitude of other areas when necessary and sometimes acts as relief staff when others are absent.
She has completed Certificate IV in Sports Administration. Another irrepressible spirit, she loves dancing and performing arts.
Theresa also works part-time for RDA Australia as their Office Manager.
Contractors
Ian Beaton - Grants & Promotions Officer: Assists with promotion and grant applications, including liaison with centres. (0.2).
Rob McBryde - Project Manager, assisting Blackwood RDA centre with developing new "greenfield" site at O'Halloran Hill.
