Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are valued

No job too small

Volunteers with RDA SA make a difference in their communities working to support people with disabilities - often outside and with horses!

They are integral to the RDA program and, while new volunteers offering experience is helpful, it is not essential as training will be provided.

Volunteers with RDA SA commit to as little or as much time as they have available.  And there are jobs for everyone - from paperwork to picking up - well let's just say a horse has got to do do what a horse has got to do do.

RDASA is an Equal Opportunity organisation and provides volunteer opportunities on the basis of a person’s skill, aptitude, interest and qualifications. Volunteers must be between the ages of 12 and 90 years and be able to demonstrate that they are physically capable of performing the duties they are allocated. Young people between the ages of 12 & 18 who wish to volunteer with RDASA must have parental permission.

Every volunteer with RDA who is involved in client programs, or has access to client records, is required to hold a DCSI clearance. Other volunteers need only a National Police Clearance.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in joining our dedicated team of volunteers we would love to hear from you!

Please contact an RDASA Centre near you to start your volunteering journey.
