RDA acknowledges a grant of $2,583 for Disability Awareness training for RDA volunteers. This funding came from the IRIS (Inclusive Recreation, Inclusive Sport) grants program.

The grant was used in part to run several workshops covering

• behaviour management as a means of supporting students with intellectual disabilities;
• Keyword signing
• speakers from several disability organisations
  • Brain Injury Network of SA
  • MS Society
  • Paraquad

The balance of the grant was used to purchase resources for loan by RDA volunteers and coaches.  These are listed elsewhere on this website at: www.rdasa.org.au/merchandise
