The Commonwealth Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FAHCSIA) has approved a grant of $2,500 for RDA Mount Gambier centre.

The grant will be used in 2010 to assist with petrol reimbursements to volunteers, and purchasing a laptop computer to assist with centre operations.

RDA Mount Gambier centre is located at Wandilo, some 12 kms north of the city of Mt Gambier.  Horses kept at the centre are checked daily by RDA Mount Gambier volunteers on a roster basis. 

Sharing these grant monies among volunteers will significantly help them meet the cost of travelling to and from the centre.
