RDA Awareness in Rundle Mall on Friday, August 1, was a blast according to the hardy volunteers and staff who ran the information stand.

Hundreds of people patted and photographed RDA Northern Area pony Sonny, who almost yawned when a huge thunderclap echoed the length of Rundle Mall during the morning. People gasped, but Sonny merely carried a blase look which proved why he is the perfect RDA pony!

We had wind and hail and rain - but not too much to dampen spirits. People were still making donations as we were packing up and loading the pony at 4pm.

Thanks to the volunteers who kept smiling and handing out RDA information, talking to people and listening as strangers came up to share their own RDA or horse reminiscences. 

The official RDA official badge day collected nearly $1,300 in donations.
