Blackwood RDA provided horses for farriers to use in the annual hot-shoeing competition held at Royal Adelaide show in September.  The centre has provided horses for several years as it introduces horses to a completely strange environment with competitions held under a large tent.

RDA Goldie, age 28, was as usual a gentleman.  He is pictured being held by Brenda Greenfield, one of RDA Blackwood's longest-standing coaches. 

RDA Blackwood is justifiably proud of how well-behaved their horses are, and are invited back each year because of the reliability of the horses' behaviour and of RDA's ability to supply a quantity of animals for the farriers to use.  And RDA benefits with free trimming and shoeing for their horses!
