What people say about RDASA

From Anne-Marie Williams, NSW

Thanks for sharing information

The SA web site is very good. I appreciated being able to access the information, and I also appreciate you sending me a copy of the policies.

Interesting how a different slant on things take please depending upon your experience. When I read the title "Infectious Control Policy", I immediately thought of Equine Influenza Virus. We suffered quite badly in our area with this outbreak. No horse deaths thank goodness but very worrying times as most of our horses are aged. Our centre was closed for almost nine months. I will be putting together a procedures policy for this situation, just in case something like this comes along again.

Tony's story

This story was sent in by Tony's mum, Laura

My beautiful son attends riding lessons every Thursday morning (at Northern Area RDA).

Tony wakes in the morning very excited as he knows he will be seeing his friends, volunteers, and of course the beautiful horses.

The volunteers always greet us with a warm welcome and smile.

Tony began riding with Northern Area RDA when it was located at One Tree Hill several years ago now.

When he started he was shy, lacked confidence and was very floppy with his posture; he is now the opposite. He is very outgoing, full of confidence and sits so very proud and straight in his sadlddle on his favourite horse.

I would also like to say that the volunteers do the most fabulous job, giving our children the opportunity to do what they love, and that is enjoying the pleasure of riding horses.

My sincere thanks.
